Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mobinuity ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use Drinky : Water Reminder (the "App"). We believe in short, honest privacy policies. Here's exactly what we do — and, just as important, what we don't.
1. The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email collection.
- Your hydration data stays on your device and in your private iCloud — we can't read it.
- Apple Health data is never used for advertising and never leaves your device through us.
- The free version shows ads (Google AdMob); Premium removes them entirely.
- We don't sell personal data. Ever.
2. Data you put into the App
Your profile (age, biological sex, weight, activity level) and every water entry you log are stored locally on your device. If you're signed into iCloud, Apple syncs this data across your devices (iPhone ↔ Apple Watch) through your private CloudKit database. That database is protected by your Apple Account; Mobinuity has no access to it and operates no servers of its own for the App.
3. Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health:
- The App writes the water you log to Health (so your hydration shows up alongside your other health data).
- With a Premium subscription, the App reads your most recent weight and today's workout minutes to personalize your daily goal. This computation happens on your device.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or ad targeting; is never shared with third parties; and is never stored on any server of ours. The App's ad code is architecturally separated from its Health code precisely so this can't happen. You can revoke Health access at any time in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → Drinky.
4. Advertising (free version)
The free version of Drinky shows ads served by Google AdMob:
- On first launch you'll be asked for consent — App Tracking Transparency on all devices, plus a GDPR consent form in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
- If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads.
- If you decline, you keep every feature of the App and ads are simply non-personalized.
- Ad identifiers and coarse ad-interaction data are handled entirely by Google's SDK; your hydration log, profile, and Health data are never shared with advertisers.
How Google processes this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy. Subscribing to Drinky Premium removes all ads and the ad SDK stops requesting them.
5. Purchases
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details, name, or Apple ID. To manage subscription entitlements we use RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history tied to an anonymous identifier — never your name, email, or Apple ID. RevenueCat's handling of data is described in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
6. Notifications
Hydration reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. Nothing about them is transmitted to us or anyone else.
7. What we don't collect
No contact details, no location, no browsing history, no contacts, no photos, no analytics profiles tied to you. The App contains no analytics SDK beyond the advertising SDK described in section 4.
8. Your choices and rights
- Revoke Health access: Health app → Sharing → Apps → Drinky.
- Reset tracking permission: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Delete your data: delete the App; iCloud copies can be removed in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Drinky.
- Go ad-free: subscribe to Drinky Premium in the App.
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to export or erase on our side — your device and your iCloud are the only places it lives.
9. Children
Drinky is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
