Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mobinuity ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Its AI? (the "App"). We believe in short, honest privacy policies. Here's exactly what we do.
1. What we collect
1.1 Anonymous user identifier
When you open the App for the first time we create an anonymous Firebase Authentication user ID. It's a random string. It is not tied to your name, email, or Apple ID unless you choose to contact support or subscribe.
1.2 Scan history
For every scan you run we store: the media type (photo / video / audio / text), the verdict (AI / human / uncertain), the confidence score, a short reasoning string, and a timestamp. We do not store the original photo, video, audio clip, or the text you analyzed.
1.3 Anonymous usage events
We use PostHog to capture anonymous product events (e.g. "scan started", "paywall viewed", "purchase completed") so we can improve the App. These events are attached to your anonymous ID — never to your name or email.
1.4 Crash reports
If the App crashes, Sentry captures a diagnostic report (stack trace, OS version, device model). These reports do not include your personal content.
1.5 Subscription status
When you subscribe through the App, Apple confirms the purchase with RevenueCat, which tells our servers which tier you have active. We never see your Apple ID, full name, or billing details.
2. What happens to the media you scan
This is the single most important part of this policy, so we've made it simple:
- When you scan a photo or text, the App sends it to our Cloud Functions proxy, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API for analysis and returns a verdict. The original content is not stored by us after the scan finishes.
- When you scan an audio clip, the App trims it to 60 seconds on your device before upload. It is discarded after analysis.
- When you scan a video, the App never uploads the raw video. Instead, your device extracts a handful of still frames and a short audio clip, and only those are sent for analysis. The video file stays on your phone.
We keep a perceptual-hash cache of previously-analyzed content to save on API costs. The cache contains a one-way hash and the verdict — not the original media. Cached results expire after 30 days.
3. Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted processors. We've picked them carefully.
- Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, Remote Config, App Check. Data is stored in the multi-region
nam5(United States). - Google Cloud (Gemini API) — the large language model that performs the actual AI-detection analysis. Per Google's API terms, your content is not used to train Google's models.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (US cloud).
- Sentry — crash reporting.
4. How we use your data
- To provide the core functionality of the App (scanning and returning verdicts).
- To show your scan history.
- To verify your subscription status.
- To understand aggregate product usage and fix bugs.
- To prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not profile you for advertising purposes.
5. Your rights
You can:
- Delete the App at any time, which stops all new data collection.
- Request a full export of the data associated with your anonymous user ID by emailing us.
- Request permanent deletion of your data by emailing us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@mobinuity.com from any email address and tell us the anonymous user ID shown in the App's Settings > Contact us auto-fill (so we can find you).
6. Children
Its AI? is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us to request deletion.
7. International users
We are based in [JURISDICTION]. Some of the processors listed above are based in the United States. By using the App you consent to your data being processed in these jurisdictions.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, show you a notice in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
